An office move easily turns into lost working days if planned at the last minute. Here is a sequence that avoids downtime.
Two to three months ahead
Define the area and budget, choose the space and agree the lease. Check the notice period on your current lease — often one to three months.

One month ahead
Agree the layout and fit-out works, order internet and telephony for the new address (connection takes weeks), inventory furniture and equipment, and appoint an internal owner for the move.
The final week
Label boxes by zone and workplace, move servers and archives in advance, and schedule the move for a weekend.
After the move
Update the address in your details, website, maps and with counterparties, and sign the handover act for the old space with photos.
